Stephanie Birkitt first began at the LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN as a college intern in the writer's department where she was given the important responsibility of collecting dinner orders and passing out scripts. She has worked at the LATE SHOW since 2000 in Dave Letterman's office as his Personal Assistant. Her tasks are too numerous to list, but sometimes include taking dinner orders and passing out scripts.
During her time at the show Stephanie has reported from the Olympics in Salt Lake city and Torino, Italy. She has also appeared as "the girl who presents the viewer mailbag letters," sometimes in costume, and "the girl who hands out the dinner gift certificates during the audience piece."
In addition to working at the LATE SHOW, Stephanie has worked as a CBS Page in New York City and at the League of American Bicyclists in Washington, D.C.
Birkitt was born on January 7, 1975 and raised in Plymouth, New Hampshire. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in history. She currently attends the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she is in her second year. Stephanie lives in Connecticut with her boyfriend, Joe, and their cat, Sneaky.
